The Birthday party wasn't an ordinary birthday party. I wouldn't even consider it a birthday party at all. This party that Evening Star supposedly planned for Chappie's birthday ended up being a party for all of Evening Stars amigos to come together and kick it. This ended up being a "come over and we can all get high and drink and not remember anything!!!!" Whats really missing from the party is the attention Chappie should be getting if its suppose to be a birthday party. No one cares about the fact they're all together because of him. But at the same time Evening Star is a little self-absorbed because of the fact that she didn't even get the boy a birthday cake.
Papa Doc doesn't even go to the party and it shows that he would rather go out and make money on selling drugs then attend his sons birthday party. My first impression of Evening Star is that she just likes to party and wants to pretend she is a mother figure but in reality she is no where near it
